Original watercolor by Jean Leon Gerome Ferris, signed and dated “Ferris ’91” lower left. Early genre work depicting a seated Spanish gentleman in period attire. Executed in watercolor on paper and housed in an early frame.

The verso retains period handwritten provenance, including identification of the artist and a presentation inscription dated October 1956, along with the original framer’s label (Chas. E. Boldt, Albuquerque, New Mexico).
