Larry Rivers — Dutch Masters (Presidents) — Signed in Plate

Dutch Masters (Presidents) brings Larry Rivers’s loose, painterly handling to the familiar imagery of the Dutch Masters cigar brand. The composition moves between art history and commercial memory, its red field interrupted by figures, lettering and passages of exposed paper.

This color print bears the “Dutch Masters Presidents” and “Master Prints” lettering and is signed in plate at the lower right. The signature forms part of the printed image.
