A Russian silver decanter associated with the Sazikov firm, St. Petersburg, circa 1860. The rectangular flask has canted corners, a chased scale pattern, and a central medallion engraved in Cyrillic. A standing figure drinking from a flask forms the sculptural stopper.
The silver standard is 84 zolotnik, equivalent to approximately 87.5% silver, rather than 84% purity. The underside marks are illustrated in the photographs.
Weight: 19 troy ounces. Height: 9¼ inches. Depth: 2⅝ inches. Length: 3¼ inches.
Condition: Wear to the base consistent with age and use. The chased decoration and stopper remain well defined. Please review all photographs.
