U.S.S. Belle of Boston — Bronze Naval Service Commemorative Plaque

A bronze record of naval service. This rectangular commemorative plaque names U.S.S. Belle of Boston, Section Patrol No. 3071, and records service during the war of 1917.

Raised lettering, square corner details, and a wreath motif give the inscription a formal architectural presence. Four corner mounting holes indicate its intended display.

An object for a collection of naval history, maritime memory, or bronze commemorative work.

Details: Bronze plaque; undated. The reference to 1917 concerns the service commemorated, not a verified manufacturing date.

Condition: Surface wear and oxidation, darker patination at the upper right front, and substantial verdigris and pitting on the reverse.
