Beautiful Vintage Val Waugh Signed Hand Carved Wood Duck Decoy Glass Eyes

Beautiful vintage male wood duck, individually hand-carved and hand-painted by Val Waugh.

This decorative carving captures the distinctive plumage of the wood duck drake through an unusually rich palette. The head displays deep green coloration with an iridescent effect, contrasted by its red glass eyes, burgundy breast, cream-colored flanks, blue accents, and layered wing feathers. Fine painted markings and carved feather divisions create considerable depth across the body.

Signed on the underside and preserved in mint condition. A striking example of American decorative waterfowl carving with enough color and presence to stand alone as sculpture.
